Andrew Gurthet has been photographing since the age of 16. He currently uses a Nikon D300 digital camera (and many, many lens).

He took up watercolor and stone carving approximately ten years ago. All his stone sculptures are either alabaster or marble and are chisled completely by hand; he does not use any power tools.

He currently lives in Palo Alto, California.
